Kay Crouch, an enduring, vibrant & gracious patient from our Florence office has counted carbs, points and everything in between in the past - only to see varying results. Today, the only thing she is counting are the 30 lbs she has lost with her new, sustaining plan.

“In the past, I have tried several weight loss programs…Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, and as you can see by my before picture….unsuccessful. I found that some of the plans had food restrictions. I love my fruit! So when I saw that you couldn’t have fruit with some diets, I knew right away that diet was not for me. I’ve counted points. This wasn’t working because I noticed that I was putting most of my points on food with high carbs. I barely lost weight.

I heard about Physician's Plan from a friend and saw the results she achieved and decided I wanted to be “me” again. I had no problem with this program at all. I really liked everything about it! What really helped me STAY on the diet was the protein bars. I have a sweet tooth. If I were to ever go off of a diet, it wouldn’t be for a cheeseburger or a piece of pizza, it was for a slice of cheesecake or something sweet. Those temptations were so easy to turn down because I knew that I could have one of my protein bars and not worry! I still don’t go anywhere without a bar. Another thing that’s great about this program is the journaling. Writing everything down made me pay attention to the food that I was eating, and the amount of calories I was taking in. The number of calories is crucial. I noticed that on the days where I wouldn’t have as many as what I should, I wouldn’t lose anything. I now know exactly the range of calories it takes for me to lose the weight and also to maintain my weight. This knowledge is the key to my lifestyle change. This change is definitely forever. It’s too easy for it not to be!
My advice to someone who’s looking to lose weight would be, if you’re looking at diet programs, check out the diet menu first. Make sure that it’s compatible with you. It’s got to be a diet that you know you can do. That’s why this program is perfect…there was plenty of variety for me!
As I lost the weight, I got rid of my larger sized clothes. This way, there was no excuse. I never planned on wearing them again anyway! Thirty-one pounds and four-months later, I feel and look healthy once again, and I am off my blood pressure medicine completely. It has been the best decision I have made for myself in a long time.”
