Kim Uyak, BS
Kim has a degree in Biochemistry with an emphasis in Nutrition from Clemson University. She has also participated in numerous continuing education efforts focusing on healthy lifestyles and nutrition.
When not working, Kim spends her time…. well, working! Kim is the also the commander in chief of the Uyak Household which consists of a husband and three adorable, young girls. Juggling it all successfully requires a balance between chaos and calm that every mom can relate to. Kim knows that the chaos of her life allows me to connect, understand and relate to her patients who need to learn to “fit it all in” and make time for themselves.
Kim says, “Growing with the company and seeing how far it has come and how many people we have helped over the years is an absolutely incredible. I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling job or more satisfaction. I strongly believe in what we do, how we do it, and how important it is for each and every one of our patients to achieve a healthier lifestyle for a better tomorrow”.
Chris DiOrio, DO
Dr. DiOrio is the medical director and lead physician at Physician’s Plan One to One Weight Loss & Wellness Weight Management Center He is a board certified physician in emergency medicine and critical care medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his medical degree from Western University Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He completed an internship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, St Francis Hospitals and he completed his residency at University of South Carolina. While working as a board certified, residency trained physician, he has also served as faculty at Medical College of Georgia and University of South Carolina. Dr. DiOrio currently serves the Charlotte, NC community as an emergency medicine physician.
Dr. DiOrio has also undergone extensive extra training through the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and is now board eligible for the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. This is special training for a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of weight management, obesity and other weight-related conditions.

Armella DiOrio, MS
Armella graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Communicative Disorders and from East Tennessee State University with a Masters in Health Sciences and Audiology.
Chris credits his wife’s ability to bloom where she is planted to becoming a vital part of the Physician’s Plan team. Armella never thought she would be working in the weight loss field, but she truly loves her job. Armella says, “By far, the best part of my job is experiencing the unabashed excitement and pride that patients feel when they step on the scale and see their weight going down each week.” Armella also enjoys working with her husband toward a common goal, saying “Finding a profession that we both love and that also brings out the strengths of each of us has been a blessing.”
Armella is a member of the Executive Women of Lake Norman, North Mecklenburg Women's Club, a Graduate of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class and the busy mom of two girls.
